Product Integration

Before setting up products in the system, determine if you will be integrating SmartSolve with one of your third party applications (ERP, MRP, MES, etc.). If the third party applications contain product information, you do not need to configure the product line and part tables for SmartSolve. Work with your representative to integrate these two applications.

Integration Options

The following integration model types can be used:

Option Description

Data Extraction

This is a one-time data load into the SmartSolve application from an External Data Source.

Synchronization

This is an on-going data synchronization, using the SmartSolveĀ© Synchronization Agent options, between the source and the SmartSolve application in real time.

Look-ups

This is when read only data in the source system is accessed by the SmartSolve application. The end user can access read only data located in the source system from a SmartSolve zoom field.

Multi-event Triggers

This is a transaction that requires synchronization of multiple business objects within the SmartSolve application, such as creating an inspection in SmartSolve in conjunction with part synchronization.
